#17-Holocene Cycles: Climate, Sea Level, and Coastal Sedimentation
(1995) [Finkl]

-The Holocene constitutes a geological epoch which began approximately 12,000 years ago. However, according to traditional geological thinking, the cycles of the Holocene continue to the present day. This JCR Special Issue, which was compiled by Journal of Coastal Research Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Charles W. Finkl, explores these cycles through the properties of climate, sea level, and coastal sedimentation. This collection of unique papers follows the period after the Wisconsin glaciation, when sea level rise and temporay land depressions helped shape many of the world's coastal sediments.
