#15-Beach and Surf Zone Morphodynamics (1993) [Short]
-The morphodynamics of the beach relate to the interaction and adjustment of the seafloor topography and fluid hydrodynamic processes. While the hydrodynamic processes respond instantaneously to morphological changes, a morphological change requires the redistribution of sediment. As such, the beach may never attain equilibrium. This JCR Special Issue expands on this 'systems approach' to the coast, and is edited by one of the coastal pioneers whom developed these principles, Dr. Andrew D. Short.
